Adopt a Tree Form

The Salida Tree Board is looking for city residents who are interested in nurturing a tree.

The trees are planted in the City's right-of-way between the sidewalk and curb, or city easement.

Trees that are the appropriate size and species for your location will be chosen by Tree Board Members. We will pick varieties that are not likely to raise sidewalks.

Volunteers or the Public Works Department will plant the tree, providing a decorative planting ring, bark, mulch and support wires if necessary.

YOUR obligation will be to water the tree, and keep the tree from harm's way. It will require weekly water in the summer, and monthly water in winter for at least three years. More specific tree care information is found in " A Guide to Salida Trees".

To apply for a tree, or to obtain additional information, submit the form below, or contact Tom Jacobson at 539-3235 or Janice Iams at 539-6432. Salida Tree Board, POB 417, Salida, CO 81201
